In Barcelona und anderen größeren Städten sind die Taxis alle mit einem Taxometer ausgestattet. Die Fahrtpreise können hinsichtlich Tageszeit, Ziel, Wochentag variieren. Auch spezifische Extrakosten können erhoben werden. Taxis können auf der Strasse angehalten werden und an Taxiständen gefunden werden. Taxis können auch telefonisch unter der Nummer 1003 angefordert werden.
In kleineren Ortschaften mit Taxis ohne Taxometer wird empfohlen der Fahrpreis im voraus zu vereinbaren.
