The first information is from the church built to a cave from the year 997. A local count has founded the church. There are further cloister buildings around the church. The cloister was lived in to 1567 of monks of the Benedictine order. Stories and legends which have announced this place have grown up around San Migiel Del Fai.

After San Miguel Del Fai one reaches either directly with the car or on foot from Riells Del Fai with an entertaining hike in the mountains .
The hike in the mountains is not very exhausting and lasts a little more than an hour. People which are not really good on foot should take the car-trip. When you arrive there, you can use and enjoy a mostly flat way with marvelous views.

The spring is the best time for a visit since the place is among other things noted for a beautiful multistage waterfall which has more water around this time. The way also leads behind the waterfall!!!
